Immune-enhancing effects of MicrobiomeX® proven in an in vitro study and in vivo clinical studies.
In vitro studies have shown that consumption of MicrobiomeX® can significantly modulate the gut microbiota, influencing the growth of specific bacterial groups, namely Clostridium cluster XIVa, capable of producing health benefits through SCFA production (e.g. butyrate).
A 12-week randomised, parallel, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was conducted to examine the effects of a daily dose of 500 mg MicrobiomeX® on gut microbiome composition and calprotectin levels. MicrobiomeX® was found to lead to a significant shift in the SCFA profile and lower calprotectin levels, indicating a lower pathogen load.
